As I'm spending my last day in Long Island with the woman, we took a walk to the beach and took some shots. The amount of cloud cover was PERFECT so it made for some beautiful ambient light.

This is the first photo I've taken where I haven't felt compelled to use warm tones. I think the cold tones are fitting, seeing as my toes lost all feeling at this point during taking photos. More to come when I get home-had to share this one. Loved the way it came out.

Amanda wanted some photos of herself done before winter came, so I gladly obliged.

This one is pretty much standard exposure / white balance tweaks, with VSCO TRI-X 400+++ preset and a few B+W adjustments. Thanks to sam for the suggestion. Looks like a completely different image.

Spent the week in Long Island with this beautiful lady again. Went to a gorgeous castle / beach and snapped a few shots.

Used my WLx800's modeling light to get the light and catchlight for this one.

This is Eva's friend Cassie- she has an awesome house and super curly blonde/turquoise hair. I shot her while on LI with Eva for part of her winter break. She's awesome, great sense of humor, and an awesome unique look to her :D

Ladies and gentlemen- the most beautiful woman in the entire world- who just so happens to be my girlfriend. :D

When people see the word 'beautiful', they instantly perceive it as superficial beauty. With photography- that's half the image, yes. What's the other half? Personality- inner beauty. If you can capture both, you have a killer photograph.

Obviously I'm biased because- well, she is my girlfriend. I love her endlessly for a reason- but I believe this photo captures every cubic millimeter of her beauty-

oh, and photography wise- has my three favorite things:

1. F/1.2
2. Perfect light
3. Warm tones.

Kayla is the sister of one of the hair dresser's at Jessica's Color Room- The salon I shot a few months back. Her sister Ashley was kind enough to refer her to me for senior photos.

Met up with Carolyn to shoot for Klutch and went to Lyman Orchards and hit it at golden hour. Finally had a chance to put my primes to use. This is one of my favorites.

Kayla is the sister of one of the hair dresser's at Jessica's Color Room- The salon I shot a few months back. Her sister Ashley was kind enough to refer her to me for senior photos.

My friend Gina texted me yesterday needing a photographer last minute for the salon she works for. Having not seen Gina since highschool, I gladly oblidged. I drove over to Jessica's Color Room right before class and set up shop. I used a Beauty dish'd UZ800 for a keylight and a UZ800 with a standard reflector behind the model on camera right for some harsh hair lighting. Paul Mitchell being the fashion industry standard, i thought I'd incorporate some harsh fashion lighting in with the headshots I did for them before a group shot which will be appearing on a billboard sometime soon. Stay tuned for more!

This is a combination of a ton of adjustment brushes in lightroom, VSCO preset, and a little photoshop work. Pretty happy with the result.

Stepped out of my natural light / super wide open zone into my studio zone. Two strobes, two shoot thru umbrellas, one blank wall.
